Paras B. Barnett
I departed a national firm to form my own law practice focusing on the current needs of the business market. I represent clients in the areas of complex commercial litigation and transactional matters ranging from, distressed debt workouts, for real and personal property asset liquidations, complex multi-state foreclosures, transition services and receiverships to general business, leasing and real estate matters. I have successfully conducted prosecution and defense for litigation claims arising from guaranty, indemnity, business fraud, dissolution, fiduciary breach and general commercial and intellectual property breaches. I am highly rated by Martindale Hubbell. I have been fortunate to work with excellent firms internationally and in Las Vegas, Nevada that honed my skills in litigation and transactional practices in the areas of real estate, business law, finance, business structuring and intellectual property. I also served a judicial clerkship for the Honorable Ronald D. Parraguirre, now Justice to the Nevada Supreme Court. Prior to my residence in Nevada, I practiced as a visiting attorney at the international law firm of Gaedertz Rechtsanwälten (now, C|M|S Hasche Seigle) in Cologne, Germany. I received my undergraduate degrees and a post-graduate certificate from the University of Utah and was awarded my law degree from Gonzaga University School of Law. I obtained a Master of Laws (LL.M / Legum Magister) in transnational business from the University of the Pacific’s McGeorge School of Law, in affiliation with the Law Faculty of the University of Salzburg, Austria, where I was an Emil E. Schnelbacher scholar for German and Austrian legal studies. I am a member of the Nevada and Washington (inactive) State Bars. I am business fluent in Dutch and German. I would welcome the opportunity to discuss how my firm can address your business needs. Best regards, Paras B. Barnett, LL.M.
